Mechanical and Design

Designing and building the competition robot within build season
Creating the prototypes that is iteratively refined for the ultimate robot design

Electrical

Creating the electrical panel/controls that ensures power and code reach all sub-systems

Programming/Coding

Programming in Java, and using the WPILIB library, write code for all robot functions

Computer Aided Design | CAD

Using CAD software, digitally design the robot to be built using Onshape.

Project Management / Promotions / Business / Awards/Fundraising

Provide Project management support/guidance from pre-season to the end of the 2024/2025 robotics season
Create promotional materials and build an online presence for the team
Contribute to the team’s business plans, and engineering journal. Manage team inventory
Secure finances through fundraising and presentations to the sponsors
Manage award submissions, including Impact Award through community and global outreach and involvement

Scouting

Create a system for data collection and statistics for all teams at competition, to inform Umoja’s match strategy and alliance selection
